Denver, CO - iNTERFACEWARE Inc. is pleased to announce that they are the proud recipient of the 2005 Innovation Award, one of the ATA President's Awards for the Advancement of Telemedicine.

This award is provided annually by the American Telemedicine Association (ATA) in order to recognize substantial contributions toward the advancement of telemedicine. The Innovation Award specifically recognizes advances in the sector through one or more of the following:

  • Innovative new technology development or adaptation
  • Novel use of technology leading to innovative health applications and social services support at the individual or community level
  • Creative strategies for removing barriers to implementation and adoption
  • Innovative approaches to fostering partnerships and collaboration
  • Innovative ways responding to needs of end-users, improve ergonomics
  • New ideas, concepts, formulation and paradigms, and new ways of thinking "outside the box"

The winner is chosen by an award committee, which is composed of recognized authorities in the field of telemedicine, and carefully selected by the ATA President. iNTERFACEWARE was selected by this committee from an impressive list of nominees, due to the significant advancements iNTERFACEWARE has brought to the healthcare sector. iNTERFACEWARE's products have been effective at providing a simple and easily integrated solution that solves the cumbersome and difficult problems often associated with the transition to the standardized HL7 world. Medical Innovation Awards Announced; Awards Go to Two Companies, Awards Presented During ATA 2005 in Denver, Colorado

The American Telemedicine Association (ATA) announced today the winners of the 2005 Innovation Awards For Telemedicine. The 2005 awards will go to InTouch Health for the development of mobile robots used in healthcare delivery and iNTERFACEWARE for software tools that allow new medical devices and systems to easily communicate with each other. The awards will be presented on April 19th at "ATA 2005" in Denver, Colorado. (con't)
