HL7 Inbound to a Database
Extracting data from inbound HL7 streams is a common requirement in the healthcare industry.
Some typical scenarios include:
- The implementation between an HL7 source and its target system to make copies of all HL7 traffic – information is then selectively extracted to populate or update a database.
- A database represented as the sole target for an HL7 feed.
- A database represented as the intermediate target – HL7 feeds are then generated to one or more target systems from that database and possibly supplemented from other data sources.
Our consulting specialists are experienced in all of these scenarios, hybrids and various combinations. Our software product suite, Iguana and Chameleon, make these strategies easy to design, implement, test and most importantly, to maintain or modify existing healthcare IT systems.
