Visual Basic 6 (VB6) ActiveX Control Errors During Stubcode Generation
You must have VB6 installed before trying to generate your stubcode because Chameleon requires the IDE executable for VB6 from the registry.
If you have tried to generate stubcode for VB6 and Chameleon displays error messages (e.g. see sample message below), try the following troubleshooting solution:
VB6 Sample Error Message
Check that you are running VB 6.0 Professional and higher. The stubcode will not be properly generated if you are using VB 6.0 Learning Edition. The learning edition does not include more of the advanced compiling options and project types since it is generally meant for beginners.
Try re-installing Chameleon and then regenerating your stubcode.
If you installed Chameleon before installing VB6, you must re-install Chameleon in order to generate useable stubcode.
