Protocols like HL7 are meant to
be human readable. However, unless you like
counting pipe characters you'll experience
some benefit from the use of Chameleon's Message Browser
utility.
Iguana Users
The Message Browser is a useful utility for Iguana users. It can be used to do the following:
Display the parsed output of a sample message;
Display the segment grammar of the matching message definition;
Show you which data will be mapped out into the selected table; and
Display the extracted data graphically, or as plain text.
In general, it is useful for testing if your mappings and message identity have been correctly set up. In addition, it can also be used to test the Global Inbound Script (if applicable).
