Color Legend Guide

The Message Browser's color legend guide is very helpful in determining what compulsory fields or segments are missing, required or normal. Consider the following message, shown parsed in the Message Browser:

You will notice four different types of colored flags beside segments or fields in the above example. The table below describes the meaning of the various flag colors.

GreenNormal segment
RedCompulsory field is missing or segment is not recognized
YellowOptional field or sub-field which may or may not have data present
OrangeCompulsory field
