Comparing the Two Output Files

	In this example, the two output files are compared using ExamDiff, a visual file comparison utility. You can choose to use a different compare utility if you wish.

To compare the changes in the output files:

• Launch ExamDiff. The Compare Window appears.
• In the File 1 and 2 fields, enter the paths of the first and second output files.

• Click OK to examine the differences. You will notice that the one small change you made to the sample VMD file is easily found.

Using ExamDiff to Compare the Changes

As you can see, it's very easy to use the msgtransform tool to compare changes that you make to your VMD files. By using the msgtransform tool to your advantage, you can ensure that each release of your application will be stable and will work as expected.

	Try using the other command line utilities, such as msgxml and msgdiff, to perform other useful comparison tasks.
