Configuring the Destination: To Message Filter

The next step is to configure the Message Filter destination component:

  • In the Number of Outgoing Filters field, specify the number of filters you want to use. This must be a number >= 1. Since you want to send the data received by this channel to two targets (one being a file and another being a network IP address), you will use the number 2 here.
  • In the Automatically purge error logs older than field, specify in days when logs will be stale and can be deleted.
