Configuring the LLP Listener Source Component

The final step in this section is to configure the LLP Listener source component:

In the Port field, specify the port you want to listen on for LLP-encoded HL7 messages. (For information on how to manage ports effectively, see Port Management Tips.)
In the ACK VMD path field, enter the VMD file path used to generate an ACK message to respond to each HL7 message. By default, Iguana uses the autoack.vmd stored in the install directory (e.g. C:/Program Files/iNTERFACEWARE/Iguana).
In the NACK VMD path field, enter the VMD file path used to generate a Negative ACK message to each HL7 message consumption failure. By default, Iguana uses the autonack.vmd file stored in the install directory (e.g. C:/Program Files/iNTERFACEWARE/Iguana).
In the NACK All Errors field, select between False and True.
In the Connection timeout (minutes) field, specify the amount of time Iguana will wait before it disconnects from the LLP Listener if it receives no messages.
In the Automatically purge error logs older than field, specify in days when the error logs will be stale and can be deleted.

Click the Add Channel button to add the channel to the Iguana dashboard.
Click the Export Database Tables link. These are the same tables whose names and columns you specified in the mapping VMD file - in this case, that would be the Patient table). Iguana will provide us with a preview of the SQL statements it is going to use to create the necessary tables.
Check the Channel Log Tables and Destination Data Tables boxes, and click Export Tables. The tables are exported to the applicable database API. The original messages are stored in the Success logs.
