Error Messages

All error messages are shown in the Error/Warning pane. Any associated errors with the Segment or Table View tabs will be indicated by an error icon (see image below). To view a list of errors associated with a tab, simply select the tab and a specific View (Message/Grammar/Text). The errors are displayed in the Error/Warning pane, as shown below:

Critical Errors

Any critical errors will have a red icon - these are errors that cause the parse to fail. They must be fixed in order to successfully parse your messages.

 

Inconsistent Error Messages

The Message Browser displays inconsistent messages for count of repeat errors in the Segment View and Table View tabs when Strict Grammar Checking is enabled. Note that this only affects the 4.5 Parser Engine. To avoid this issue, use the 5.0 parser engine found in Chameleon versions 5.0 and above.

In all cases the Table View displays the correct output; the Segment View output should be disregarded.
