The following table describes the functionality available from the File menu:

Start Page
Opens the Start Page, where you can start a new project, open an existing project, or view the news feed. If you click New when a project is already open, Chameleon asks you if you want to save your changes before displaying the Start Page window.
New
Creates a new empty project. If you click New when a project is already open, Chameleon asks you if you want to save your changes before opening a new project.
Open
Opens the Open dialog window. From this window you can navigate to the directory that your existing VMD is stored in to open it. If you click Open when a project is already open, Chameleon asks you if you want to save your project before opening the Open dialog window.
Reopen
Lists the six most recently opened projects. To open a project, click its name.
Generate Documentation
Opens the Documentation Wizard. The Documentation Wizard is used to generate documentation with regards to the structure of messages in your application.
Save
Saves the project in the current directory.
Save As
Opens the Save As dialog window, allowing you to save the project with a different name.
Exit
Exits Chameleon and prompts you to save your changes.
