Fixing the Output Problem

To fix the output issue all you need to do is modify a few fields in the PID segment.

To fix the output problem:

• Switch to the Incoming configuration.
• Under Segments, double-click PID (Patient Identification).
• Rename Field 6 (Mother's Maiden Name) to Date of birth in wrong place.
• Under Data Type, select TS.
• Rename Field 7 (Date/Time of Birth) to null.

Your table should look like the one below:

Notice that Fields 6 to 9 are different.

The next step is to map the PID segment accordingly. Once you are finished your new mappings should look like:
