Generating the Message

Now that you have got your database primed with information for a single LabResult message, it is time to test it out.

To generate a message:

• Open the HL7 Listener application. The HL7 Listener appears.
• In the Port Number field, use the same port number you specified in the LLP Client Destination component.
• Go to the Iguana Dashboard, and start the outbound channel you created. The following message should appear in the HL7 Listener window:

If you received the message above, you now have relatively, complex HL7 Lab Result messages flowing out of your database. You can use the same logic you have applied throughout this tutorial for designing any Iguana database to HL7 outbound interface.
