Global Outbound Post Process Script

The Global Outbound Post Process Script is executed after the message string has been generated.

To define a Global Outbound Post Process Script:

• Click Chameleon > Global Outbound Post Process Script. The Global Outbound Post Process Script window appears. Alternatively, you can press F11 on your keyboard to display the window.
• In this window, type the Global Outbound Post Process Script.
• Click Check Syntax to verify that your indenting and spacing is correct.
• If your syntax is okay, click OK to save your changes.

Global Outbound Post Process Script Window

The following predefined variables and functions are available for use in the Global Outbound Post Process Script:

• The value variable contains the entire HL7 message string. The script can modify anything in this string.
• The environment variable specifies methods that enable you to connect to a database or convert and format date/time values.
• Delimiter functions enable you to access the field separator, escape and repeat characters that have been defined in the Message Delimiters tab of the Options window.
