Opening an Example Project Using the HL7 Project Wizard

The Start Page window contains three sample projects that you can open using the HL7 Project Wizard. For each of the projects, the wizard automatically generates a simple message definition file (.vmd) and some example application code. The example code demonstrates how a specific function works in Chameleon.

	The example projects are usually developed in response to customer requests for how to use Chameleon for certain tasks. Since iNTERFACEWARE supports many different languages, you may not find an example of the feature you are looking for in your language. If you do not see an example for your language, send an email to support@interfaceware.com to see if a later version of Chameleon has an example for your language. In most cases, an example for your language can be prepared for you.

To open an example project using the HL7 Project Wizard:

• Start Chameleon. The Start Page window appears.
• Under New, click Tutorials and Examples. The tutorials and examples are displayed in the right pane.
• Double-click one of the following projects: (1) Example: Basic; (2) Example: XML/HL7 Conversion; (3) Example: Dynamic API. The wizard takes approximately ten seconds to load the project.

• Follow the rest of the instructions carefully to generate an example project. Note that the steps and screens will vary slightly from project to project.
