This documentation page describes a feature of version 3.3 of Iguana. In Iguana 4.0 and later, logging has been significantly revised and improved. See Working With the Logs for more information.

Each message that Iguana receives is logged into the specified database. It may either be logged as a success, or as an error that is categorized under the particular component that encountered the error. If logging the message to the database fails, a text file with the name log_[channel_name].txt is created in the Iguana directory and the log is written there.
