Setting Up the Segment Grammar

To process Patient Observation messages, you will need to set up the segment grammar to contain the MSH, PID and OBR segments in that order. To do this:

• Open the Message Grammar window.
• Drag and drop the PID and OBR segments from the Workspace into the Segment Grammar panel.
• Select the OBR segment, and check the Repeating checkbox.

The segment grammar should now look like this:

Now that you have the segment grammar for this message definition, the next step is to set up the table grammar.
