Mapping the PV1 Segment

The next step is to check which transformations you need to make to the PV1 segment. The following table shows the mappings for the incoming and outgoing messages:

You need to define and map an intermediate table to carry these fields - call this table PV1Table. This table needs to map to and from the PV1 segment in both formats. This step is mostly straightforward mapping. The only tricky part is mapping the four sub-fields contained in Field 7 - Attending Doctor. The screenshot below shows how the three sub-fields are mapped individually.
