The next step is to map all the required fields from the OBX segment.
To map the required fields:
Double-click Message Grammar in the Workspace. The Message Grammar window appears.
Double-click Lab_Results. The Table Mappings window appears.
In the Table Mappings window, expand OBX[0] and select 5 - Observation Value(ST)(0)(String).
Table Mappings Window
Click and drag the field under Mapping in the left pane.
Expand Units(CE)[0], and select 1 - Identifier (ST)(ST)(String).
Click and drag the field under Mapping in the left pane.
Mapping the Values for the First OBX Segment
Repeat this process for OBX[1], OBX[2], OBX[3] and OBX[4].
Make sure that you always map the first 5 - Observation Value (ST)[0](String) and 1 - Units Identifier (ST)(ST)(String) from each OBX segment.
Final Mappings for the OBX Segment
One major advantage for using one table is that you can map fields from repeating segments and non-repeating segments into the same table. For example, if you wanted to get a few values from the PID segment (non-repeating), you could map it to the same table.
