Message Definition File Preparation

Before you use the Transformation Script, you should first set up the method of transformation and the configurations to use inside your message definition file. In the process you will also be able to test your transformation before implementing it in your application.

	When the Scripted Transformation option is selected, it will be set globally across all configurations in your VMD file.

To set up the method of transformation:

• Click Chameleon > Test Transformation. The Transformation window appears. The Transformation window is where you can set up and test your VMD file for transformation.
• Select the Scripted Transformation radio button to utilize scripted transformation when calling the Transformation Script in your application.

Setting Up the Scripted Transformation

To transform a message from one configuration to another (graphical transformation method):

• In the Transformation window, ensure that Graphical Transformation is selected.
• Use the drop-down menus to select the configuration you want to transform to and from (as long as you have already added them to your message definition file)

Setting Up the Transformation Configurations

These settings are all saved along with the message definition file and may be called from your application.
