Testing Outbound Post Process Scripts

You can also easily test outbound post process scripts in the Test Transformation window. In this example, the recipient of your sample message is not conforming to HL7 standards. As a result they want all segments to be separated by % and a new line character, instead of just \r.

To fix this problem:

• Click Chameleon > Global Outbound Post Process Script. The Editing Script window appears.
• Add the following line:

value = string.replace(value, '\r', '%'+'\r')

• Click OK.
• In the Transformation window, click the Transform button to view the change in the bottom pane. You will notice that each new segment is separated by a % sign and a new line, as shown below.
