Using the Transformation Window For Testing Mappings, Outbound Messages and Outbound Python Scripts

The main purpose of Chameleon's Transformation window is to test your scripted transformation. However, it is also very useful for testing the following:

• Table grammar mappings;
• Generation of outbound messages from a database; and
• Outbound Python scripting.

This is useful for testing what your messages will look like immediately after you set up the table grammar.

	Before starting, download this sample VMD file that you can use to perform the steps in this section.

If you copy and paste the following message into the top pane of the Transformation window, you can easily test if your mappings are correct. The main goal of this section is to generate the message below:
