Testing Your Transformation

Now that you have defined a transformation, you can use the Transformation window to test it.

To test your transformation:

• From the toolbar, select Transform. The Transformation window appears.
• In the Transformation window, select the Scripted Transformation radio button. This activates the Transformation script in the message definition.
• Copy and paste the ADT test message into the top pane of the Transformation window.
• Click Transform to transform the message. The transformed message appears in the bottom pane of the window.
• Verify that the names you want to replace have been replaced with the text string, fff, as shown in the screenshot below. If the transformation was performed successfully, the PID, NK1 and IN1 name fields will have been replaced and the Z-segments will have been removed.

Your transformation is now ready to use in Iguana.
