Old Directory Structure (Prior to 4.0) vs. New Directory Structure (After 4.0)

In Chameleon 4.0, the directory structure on Unix has changed. The following shows the changes made to the directory structure in version 4.0 in comparison to version 3.3.184.

	Please note that the directory structure for version 3.3.184 may be different from other older versions of Chameleon.

The 3.3.184 directory structure appeared as follows:

3.3.184 Directory Structure in Unix

In the 3.3.184 directory structure, the CHM, admin, com, lib and libchameleon.a files were stored in the 'package' directory. Starting in version 4.0, the 'package' directory was removed and replaced by three sub-folders:

• bin - used to store the CHMmachineID, msgtransform and msgxml files.
• java - used to store the classes.jar and libchm_java.so files.
• python_lib - used to store the python files.
