Why Choose Iguana Over Chameleon?

Iguana is the evolution of Chameleon. For many years, iNTERFACEWARE has witnessed customers building similar applications over and over again using the Chameleon SDK. It was clear that customers were looking for an application that could:

• Take data from a database and generate HL7 messages;
• Send the HL7 messages out over a network, or to a file;
• Parse HL7 messages and store the data in a database; and
• Route and transform HL7 messages between systems.

iNTERFACEWARE decided to build a super application that would accomplish all of the above, so customers would not have to reinvent the wheel with their own application code.

	Why Choose Chameleon Over Iguana? Although the majority of our customers use Iguana to implement their HL7 interfaces, you may want to choose Chameleon if: You don't want to have to log in to Iguana in order to administer your interface. You want to deliver HL7 messages using a non-standard delivery mechanism (i.e. not over TCP/IP).
