Upgrading your software

iNTERFACEWARE's Release Policy

Version Release Policy:

To ensure we have timely support for new languages, databases and operating systems, iNTERFACEWARE normally schedules releasing an updated version of Iguana and Chameleon once every four months.

Each release goes through a rigorous, comprehensive QA process to ensure that our tools are stable, robust, and backwardly compatible. We want our customers to feel confident that when they do upgrade, that they do so with minimal disruption to their existing installations.

Sunset Policy for Older Releases:

Customers understand that support for aging products is not indefinite and that the new features, enhancements and bug fixes in upgraded releases will improve their efficiency and competitiveness. Moreover, support organizations need to be trained in, and focused on, the more recent releases of software that the majority of customers use.

iNTERFACEWARE will support prior versions of its software for a period of two years from the date of release. To be eligible for support, customers must hold a support contract and be running a supported release of Chameleon or Iguana. Customers who have older versions of the software are encouraged to contact us as soon as possible. While we do not support obsolete versions, we do not want any customer left behind, nor do we want them to be forced to upgrade under pressure when some incompatibility occurs.
