Credentialing and privileging software for healthcare organizations
Applied Statistics & Management (ASM), the company behind the MD-Staff credentialing platform, helps over 1,200 healthcare organizations manage provider compliance, privileging, and access across hospitals, medical groups, and insurers. To deliver on its promise of real-time credentialing and activity tracking, AS&M relies on the Iguana integration engine to connect MD-Staff with hospital EMRs such as Epic and Cerner.
Two key HL7 integration patterns are supported:
To support a 99.99 percent service level expectation and minimize disruption across hospital environments, ASM deployed Iguana in a high availability architecture with 80 auto-failover channels. This ensures continuous message flow, even when individual components are interrupted, and accommodates varying degrees of buffering on the client side.
Iguana also integrates seamlessly with ASM’s GitHub-based deployment workflows, aligning with modern DevOps practices. As part of their ongoing SOC2 compliance efforts, security and operational resilience remain central to the deployment — reinforcing trust with healthcare clients who depend on real time, reliable credentialing and compliance data.
While most deployments are hosted by ASM, a small number of self-hosted international customers use Iguana with limited, controlled access, ensuring system integrity and compliance. ASM receives enterprise licensing, training, and support, and continues to leverage Iguana’s flexibility to support real time analytics and mission critical credentialing workflows.
