Network

Flow Money is an open platform for moving money efficiently, privately, and transparently.

Rather than replacing existing financial institutions, Flow Money connects to them. Using screen integration and other open interfaces, it works with today's banking systems while providing a consistent, user-controlled experience.

At its core, Flow Money is open source. Every decision, every transaction path, and every integration can be inspected and traced. Users don't have to blindly trust a black box—they can see exactly how the software works.

Because the platform is open, anyone can contribute new integrations. As more affiliates, developers, businesses, and financial institutions add adapters, the network naturally becomes more useful. Following the Theory of Constraints, the platform continually evolves to make integration simpler, reducing the effort required to connect each new endpoint.

One of Flow Money's primary goals is to create a more competitive marketplace for payments. Instead of locking users into a single provider, it can automatically select the fastest, lowest-cost route available. Over time, additional payment methods—including digital currencies and future financial technologies—can be added without changing the underlying architecture.

Privacy is a fundamental design principle.

Distributed using Flow Preserve, Flow Money is designed to operate as trusted software running under the user's control. Sending money should be a private transaction between the sender and the recipient. The only parties that need to know are the people exchanging value.

Trust is built on two foundations:

This creates a very different relationship from many modern financial platforms, where users are often asked to trust opaque systems they cannot examine.

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of Flow Money is its network effect.

As adoption grows, financial institutions gain an incentive to build and maintain their own adapters. Supporting the Flow Money ecosystem becomes the easiest way to reach customers, while refusing to participate risks being left outside an expanding open network.

The result is a payment platform that becomes more valuable with every new participant—more endpoints, more competition, lower costs, greater transparency, and stronger privacy.

Flow Money isn't trying to become another bank.

Its goal is to become the open plumbing that allows money to move freely, efficiently, and privately between people and institutions, regardless of which financial systems they already use.
