100-bed Regional hospital in Northern California
Marshall Medical Center is a 100 bed short term acute care hospital based in Placerville, California, with over one billion dollars in annual patient revenue. It provides general acute care services to the local community and supports a connected physician organization.
Since 2017, Marshall Medical has used the Iguana integration engine as the core of its interoperability strategy. Iguana replaced their prior solution (Infor Cloverleaf) in just a few weeks, streamlining both internal integrations and external data exchange.
Iguana played a central role in the hospital's electronic medical record migration to Epic. Over 35 interfaces were migrated or rebuilt during the transition, covering systems such as Omnicell, Midas, Muse, and others. The project was completed over five to six months, totaling more than 800 service hours, and delivered seamless continuity of care during the changeover.
Since then, Iguana has supported various statewide initiatives, including integration with the California Immunization Registry (CAIR2). Marshall Medical continues to rely on Iguana for ongoing integration projects and scalable data exchange that supports public health and operational growth.
