For over a decade, TeleTracking has trusted Iguana as the integration engine behind its flagship Patient Throughput platform. Iguana facilitates the secure, real-time exchange of HL7 ADT, ORM, and ORU messages between hospital systems and TeleTracking's database — enabling mission-critical workflows such as bed requests, patient transfers, level-of-care changes, and readiness notifications.

At the heart of this integration, Iguana transforms incoming HL7 messages into normalized XML objects that are written to TeleTracking’s internal systems. This transformation standardizes diverse data inputs and enables reliable downstream processing. Outbound HL7 messages are similarly generated from structured XML records, ensuring accurate and consistent communication with hospital information systems.

Deployed in over 800 hospitals, Iguana supports both on-premise and hosted models. Each installation typically includes 8 integration channels and handles between 3,000 and 10,000 HL7 messages per hour. A turnkey installer accelerates onboarding by delivering pre-configured channels, while maintaining flexibility for custom workflows across sites.

With more than 120 standalone Iguana deployments and several new implementations each month, TeleTracking continues to scale its national footprint.
